Improvement
If there is anything at Wright State University that I could change, it would be that freshman has more help with classes. Yes we have tutoring and help classes, but they don’t have them for every class. I also don’t like the fact that when you ask a professor for help they say “asks a classmate”. If I wanted to ask a classmate I would, but I would rather want the professor’s help. Just saying. Even though I love wright state, I just feel that more attention should be focused on the students. In high school that’s how it was and it worked. So I feel it should be the same way. Another thing I would change is the fact that professors should expect us to know everything they are teaching. Especially when we all come from different schools and they don’t teach the same material. In my last blog I talked about the school not having a football team. You honestly don’t know how serious that is. But seriously, what college doesn’t have a football team? THIS ONE! I don’t mean to talk bad about Wright State; I’m just stating the facts. I also don’t like that the classes are so big. Well at least the ones that I am in. I didn’t get in a math or chemistry class this quarter so I don’t really know what to say about them. Some people tell me that chemistry is really hard and all you do is take notes. Hopefully that isn’t the case. Chemistry is supposed to be hands on, experimental class. I don’t really have anything bad to say about Wright state, I just wish there would be some changes made.

My Process of Revision
When I’m writing school papers not all of my grammar or punctuation is correct. That’s why in my case drafts play a big part in writing the correct paper. My original drafts aren’t necessarily incorrect but it’s never perfect. I usually try to make as many drafts as I need too in order to develop the right paper. After doing my revisions and making sure everything is right, that’s when I would go on to my final copy. I think it is good to make drafts because it helps you learn how to write good papers and you definitely learn from your mistakes. A lot of my drafts would’ve made me feel less intelligent if I would have kept them he same instead of revising them. Drafts make a huge difference in all my writings, mainly because they are perfectly correct. It’s also a good tool to use when you are done with your writing and you might need to add more information to the paper. To me drafts aren’t just corrections, but it is also good when you need to brainstorm. Drafts are really improving my writings and how I structure my writings. I completely understand when my instructors edit my papers and show me what is wrong. That’s when I realize what my problems is, and how to change them. I don’t have difficulties revising my papers but I do tend to make mistakes when writing them. It’s always easy to make corrections, but doing drafts will help me so that I have fewer corrections to make.

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
In this painting by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec there are three women. The women on the left are both dressed in bright colors. But you will notice that the girl on the right is in all black. To me that would be rhetorical based on the fact that everything else is bright and happy. But the lady in the black is the negative member in the group. Another rhetorical part of the painting that i pointed out was the background. It’s almost as if they are having desert with a jungle effect. That’s surely something that can’t be explained. I've noticed that they are having desert in a picnic fashion but they are not outside. This would bring me back to the background effect. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is very good with showing rhetorical objects in his paintings. Neither of the girls in this painting is dressed to the occasion, but they all seem to be enjoying themselves. Another thing that caught my eye was that the lady on the right appears to have a tattoo on your arm. In this situation a women with a tattoo, dressed in all black doesn’t add up to the mood of this painting. Then I pointed out the fact that the lady on the left is wearing different types of clothing and things you could wear for different occasions at one time. The last thing that I would like to point out would be how everything that is laid out on the floor is all types of deserts except for a bowl of fruit.

What do you think?
I agree that children would grow to be smarter human beings without the privilege of watching television. Because honestly it’s not even a privilege. My main concern behind agreeing that watching TV makes us less smart, is the fact that the things we see on TV isn’t reality. The problem with that is people start to see things on TV and feel that they can do the same when we all know that’s not the case. Television contains a lot of things that keeps us less intelligent. It might now be complete mind control but its close enough to it. Think of it this way, we could be reading books but we are watching our favorite TV show and music videos. I think that the entertainment company knows that we would rather watch TV than read books and that simply because it’s entertaining and Americans love to be entertained. We get so caught up in what’s going on TV and forget about the real world. When you watch TV and your shows about to be over, the only thing you remember is what happened during that show. But when you read a book not only do you think about what happened in the book, you might learn new words or even feel smarter when you’re done. I was always told the TV is for the less intelligent and reading equals success. All I can say is if you’re going to watch TV, try to make sure it’s only the news.

The purpose of advertising
As you look around many things that go unoticed on television stations, our favorite radio stations, billboards, and even on the side of buses are forms of advertising. But Im here to let you know that not all advertising is good. What advertisers try to do is get you to buy whatever it is that they are selling. But not only will they tell you about the product they will have something to go along with it that catches your eye. For example when you think of abercrombi, the main thing you think of is how awesome the models look wearing their merchandise. As for them, they will manipulate you into buying clothes that are very costly. But they know that the peoople who want their clothes bad enough will spend all types of money to look like the models wearing them. The next topic on advertisment is how you are approached. Like when watching t.v. and a commercial comes on, it will start louder than what you are actually watching. As of now you should already know the reason for that... Correct, the advertisers make the commercials louder that way they can grab your attention. This is because they know the average american would turn the channel when a commercial comes on.That is a common technique that goes unoticed to the human mind. Though their are many types of bad advertising their is also good sorts. But reguardless of how they try different theories and ways to get you to purchase their item, you can always say no.
